REALTY EXECUTIVES RAISES MONEY FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WITH CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT AT LAKE QUIVIRA
LEAWOOD, Kan. – Realty Executives Mid-America Region will raise money for Habitat for Humanity with a company-sponsored golf tournament at Lake Quivira Country Club on June 30.
The Junior/Senior Golf Classic, a four-person scramble, is open to the public. All proceeds from the event will benefit Habitat for Humanity. This golf tournament – as well as other fundraisers this summer – will pay for the construction of a fourth Realty Executives- sponsored Habitat for Humanity home in Kansas City to begin construction later this summer.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Leawood, a partner of Realty Executives of Kansas City, has been instrumental in raising funds for the four Habitat for Humanity homes as have other company sponsors, local real estate agents and clients.
Steve and Nancy Summers, longtime brokers and owners of Realty Executives of Kansas City, organized the fundraiser in memory of their son, Stephen R. Summers (Jr.), and Steve’s father, Stephen A. Summers (Sr). Both beloved family members died in 2004.
The Summers wanted to honor the life and career of their son and father. The Summers choose to build dream homes for needy local families by partnering with Kansas City Habitat for Humanity because finding homes for families was important to both men.
